I was quite proud to see my work stacked up for all to see this week at my local football club. It's been quite a tricky learning curve, there's no real brief or schedule, because nobody gets paid, everybody volunteers to help so everyone has got another real job to concentrate on. But I want everything I do to be portfolio worthy so I made my own brief for each project. The flyer/poster is advertising a big summer event so I wanted the feel to be energised and fresh, with bright colours and summer imagery. The programme is all about the team write ups and pictures of the teams so it's packed full of information- I went for a basic magazine style layout inside and the cover I felt needed to contrast the crammed inside so I went for subtlety; I used stars to relate to the award ceremonies that go on through out the day.
