My 'Graphic piece' for the upcoming Well Gallery exhibition is going to be a series of greetings cards, with the subject of social and cultural issues that are becoming evermore acceptable to me.. and society in general. So whilst my greetings cards wont focus on the usual subject matter, I do want them to be convincing as greetings cards that exist so a good source of research is obvious. Good job I hoard all my old cards :)
I find it very strange how basic aesthetic is lost in some of these cards. I know you get your cheaper option, but they're really bad! I picked out a few of the best and worst and have made an Easter resolution-like promise to myself never to give in to the cheaper card at the sacrifice of hurting design's feelings. If all else fails I can make one, that must be a perk of the trade!
