Research Workshop

Our research workshop with Orlagh I found really interesting.. its always a helpful skill to know various ways to gather research because it means you can find inspiration anywhere, anyway. I often forget there are more sources than books and internet..

I worked with Ashley and we asked the guys in our group>>

' Draw what you'd buy if you were given £1000'.

We found people's first reactions to the question very varied.. some people's initial thoughts were technical objects, some were of-the-moment fashion, some more longer lasting objects (like a horse for example!) and only one wasn't a material object.. I think nowadays a thousand pounds isn't perceived as a huge amount of money which might be why the majority of the group who are all the same age chose to draw objects, as oppose to a tutor (whose approach to money may be more mature) chose to draw an experience. It'd be interesting to ask the same question to different age groups and see the range of results...
