Workshop week Part 1

I've taken lots of photographs from the workshops I've been on so far.. some workshops have seemed more useful than others and then there are ones that although may not be entirely relevant to London, they're still fun- and a good opportunity to just make stuff. Tuesday's (4th may) workshops were completely contrasting workshops and I enjoyed both.

The first was about Scale, so we were taken to a few different landmarks around central London, not necessarily well known landmarks, and were talking about how the structure/design or location of a building can give off an impression of grandeur or subtlety. We visited The Building Centre which was very impressive- a detailed model of london where old buildings and buildings that are yet to be constructed were differentiated with a white or grey colour. It was a noticeable difference but subtle enough so you could stand back and look at it and imagine that's how London's landscape will look soon. Nice, clean layout to the boards that displayed information about future plans too.
