SAS Design

A visit to corporate design agency SAS was to be the final possible chapter for my final major project. It was totally different to seeing APFEL studio because SAS is a huge agency who deal with corporate branding for companies like BP and Aviva. The art director Matthew Shannon chatted to us about what kind of approach to take with portfolios and CVs which was great advice things like, be concise in the CV- he doesn't care what GCSE you got in Maths, show lots of ideas and process as appose to finished outcome after outcome and he also spoke about getting into the habit of advertising yourself now. Buying a domain page for example or blogging- including observations not just your own work. Also an intern who is currently working for SAS spoke to us about capturing details of your work to show in your portfolio. So lot's of practical, helpful advice all in all.
